Professional CV templates to fill in online
Five templates, one content
Illuminagy CCO offers five templates: Classic, Modern, Compact, Elegant and Canadian. The content is the same, only the presentation changes: you switch from one to another without retyping anything, and the downloaded PDF is identical to the preview on screen. The Canadian template also follows Canadian practice: no photo, no hobbies, and volunteering in its own section.
- Classic: understated, one column, the reference for traditional sectors and applications abroad.
- Modern: a coloured band at the top and banded section headings, for trades where a bolder CV is expected.
- Compact: the densest, tight line spacing and skills on one line, to fit a long track record on two pages.
- Elegant: the only one with a serif font, centred header, thin rules and plenty of white space, for management, legal, finance or academic roles.
- Canadian: no photo or hobbies, volunteering in its own section and the paper size used in Canada, for your applications there.
Choosing by country and job
- Morocco: a photo is common, the CV runs one to two pages, degrees and languages count, and large companies use sorting software.
- France, Belgium, Switzerland: one to two pages, optional photo, job title heading at the top, experience from most recent to oldest.
- Spain: one to two pages, a photo is still frequent, a languages section is always present.
- England and Ireland: no photo or age, a personal statement of a few lines at the top, two pages at most.
- In every case the same template works: what changes is the sections and the information, not the layout.
What a good template guarantees
- A single column of text, no table: sorting software reads in order.
- Standard headings: Experience, Education, Skills, Languages.
- Full dates, month and year, for every experience.
- A classic font and a readable size, no icons in place of words.
- A text PDF export, never an image: words can be selected with the mouse.
Fill in, export, duplicate
You start from scratch with the step by step assistant, or import your existing CV: its content goes into the editor. Each section is edited on the left, the CV updates on the right. You switch template in one click, adjust the main colour and the shade of the headings, then download the PDF.
One track record can give several CVs: duplicate for another application, or translate to create the version in another language. The free trial includes unlimited CV creation and one import, in French; paid plans add English and Spanish.
Frequently asked questions
Word or PDF?
PDF, always, unless the ad asks for something else. A text PDF keeps your layout everywhere and is read by sorting software.
Photo or no photo?
It depends on the country and the job: common in Morocco and Spain, optional in France, best avoided in England and Ireland. If in doubt, leave it out.
Are the templates free?
Yes. All five templates are in the free trial, no card needed, and the PDF downloads even on the trial.
Is a free Word template to download not enough?
For the look, yes. But you retype everything for each version, the layout shifts from one computer to another, and nothing tells you whether your CV matches the ad. Here the content is entered once, and the ATS analysis is right next to it.
Free trial, no card required. Everything downloads, even on the trial.
